Rehabilitation
and remodeling of the Decatur Fire Department’s
four-story masonry and steel training tower was
required to meet current State of Illinois Training
Center Certification requirements.
Contract
plans covered enclosure of the exterior stairs, along
with a portion of the second floor, to create more
authentic training conditions.Special rappelling fittings were added for
confined space training. The
project included window replacement, electrical repair
work, and general structure rehabilitation work.
