This four-story masonry and concrete fire training facility was designed to provide state-of-the-art live burn fire training in a realistic, yet safe, environment.

Facility Features Include:

Interior insulating system allowing fire conditions up to 1200ºF followed by extinguishment with water without damage to the structure or the system.

Symtron Systems equipment including modular, computer controlled, natural gas fueled fire-training simulators with flashover capabilities and smoke generators.

Construction materials specially chosen to provide the durability necessary for years of training use.

The site has been specially arranged to integrate Oakton Fire Station No. 8, the fire training facility, a fire fighter driver training obstacle course, and a public works salt storage dome, with access roads and parking for all facilities.
