Quiet serenity in a busy location was the goal for BWC’s
commission to design an outdoor gathering plaza for a
local elderly housing facility.With the site located at the corner of a busy
four-way intersection, a quiet gathering area was created
where outdoor activities could be shared without the
intrusion of offensive traffic.
Creative
landscaping utilizing retaining walls and earth berms in
conjunction with an inviting center court complete with exterior
lighting, planters, redwood seating and a square wooden gazebo
with stone columns created such a haven.
